Oh how I love to build pages using Elementor. It is such a great tool. You can use it to build pages, page templates, widgets, or to build your entire site. Just start with an Elementor-friendly theme like Hello or Astra, and away you go!
I have built marketing sites, e-commerce sites, and blogs using Elementor. And you know what I have found? The most powerful thing about Elementor is its access to dynamic content. It is well worth the $50 purchase price to get access to the dynamic content tools. I didn’t really think those were that big of a deal until I tried building the site you are looking at right now using only the free version. Yes, there are a few work-arounds, but they are kind of painful, and quite time-consuming. Paying the $50 for the pro version for one site is well worth the price.
If you are going to build more than a single site, I highly suggest getting one of the licenses that lets you build multiple sites. It’s really a no brainer when you think about the time you save in development, using Elementor’s tools, rather than killing yourself doing it the old-fashioned way. “What about blocks and the new site editor?” you may be asking? Well, I will tell you that blocks and the new WordPress site editor are literal garbage. They are clunky, unweildly, counter-intuitive, and will make your brain melt into goo.
No, my friends, please stay away from blocks and the new site editor. Its just going to cause you pain and heartache.
Just get Elementor.
Later, I’ll post about all the awesome plugins you can get for Elementor, plus my recommended list of essential plugins to make Elementor do everything you’ve ever wished a page builder could do.
